Set of two mini ink drawings- both 8.5x5.5in. These are done with India ink on a hard board type paper- 110lbs- it's paper that feels like a hard dense cardstock- like paper that would encase a vinyl album. A lot of my best ink drawings are done on Stonehenge paper- which is an accessible 100% cotton fiber "paper". Cotton fiber papers take a lot of beating- and keep well. Wood papers are more susceptible to warping and deterioration under UV rays- but then- we are talking of the matter of longevity in a scale beyond a human lifetime. It's the concern of museums- or so we art students are taught. I for one prefer to at least be conscious of the science- and know how long the work will exist, five hundred years? Or fifty? Mine lasts longer. It will be here when your fancy electronic devises are dust.
