"Dulcinea"
Dulcinea is who Don Quixote imagines as his great love—a pure, royal lady he fights for. But she’s not really the way he sees her. To others, she’s actually a farm girl named Aldonza- only someone Don Quixote once knew. I believe she even does not show up in the story. He just holds her in his mind as this perfect figure, and she becomes a symbol of how far someone can go with an inflexible mind—how we sometimes build whole worlds from the inside out. Or perhaps very flexible?
